Nghiên cứu khoa học về cây Bồ quân – Khắc tinh của phì đại tuyến tiền liệt

Theo các nghiên cứu, Bồ Quân chứa một lượng lớn hợp chất Flavonoids, giúp làm mềm, làm giãn các tổ chức u xơ Tuyến tiền liệt. Mang lại hiệu quả triệt để và lâu dài trong việc điều trị Phì đại tuyến tiền liệt ở đàn ông cao tuổi. Bồ quân chính là cây thuốc hàng đầu cho người bị Phì đại Tuyến tiền liệt. (Nghiên cứu của Viện Y học bản địa Việt Nam, 2002)

Cây Bồ quân (hay Hồng quân, Mùng quân) tên khoa học Flacourtia Jangomas là loại cây thân gỗ nhỏ, thuộc họ Liễu sống trong các rừng mưa trên núi hoặc ở vùng đất thấp. Loài cây này được trồng nhiều ở Đông Nam Á và Đông Á. Tại Việt Nam, Bồ quân thường mọc ở trung du miền đồi núi phía Bắc, mỗi năm có quả một lần vào tháng 8 dương lịch đến tháng 9 thì quả chín.

Có lẽ nhiều người biết đến quả Bồ quân vị chua chua ngọt ngọt là một trong những loại trái cây “đi cùng tuổi thơ” tuy nhiên không phải ai cũng biết tất cả các bộ phận của cây đều hữu dụng không riêng gì quả, trong đó rễ cây có tác dụng rất tốt đối với nam giới bị phì đại tuyến tiền liệt. Theo kinh nghiệm dân gian nước sắc rễ cây Bồ quân có tác dụng chữa khỏi chứng tiểu rắt, tiểu khó khó, thường hay mót rặn lâu nhưng có cảm giác đi không hết bãi, đau tức vùng bọng đái, bàng quang… cho nam giới trung và cao tuổi.

Thành phần các hoạt chất trong cây Bồ quân

Trong cây Bồ quân không chứa alkaloid mà chứa nhiều các hợp chất như flavonoid, tannin, saponin và các hợp chất phenolic có hoạt tính sinh học cao, chống oxy hóa và phá hủy các gốc tự do, trong đó có thành phần đóng vai trò quan trọng nhất là flavonoid. Flavonoid là một nhóm lớn của các hợp chất phenol thực vật có cấu trúc cơ bản là diphenylpropan (C6 – C3 – C6). Một trong những flavonoid có trong cây Bồ quân là quercetin, chất này rất có lợi cho tuyến tiền liệt của nam giới, khi dùng lâu dài có khả năng giảm nguy cơ ung thư tuyến tiền liệt. Ngoài ra, các saponin còn làm tăng tính thấm của tế bào giúp các hoạt chất khác thấm vào tốt hơn.

Các hợp chất trong rễ cây bồ quân có một số tác dụng sau trên tuyến tiền liệt và hệ thống tiết niệu:

  • Hoạt tính chống oxy hóa mạnh giúp ngăn ngừa sự lão hóa các tế bào
  • Phân hủy các gốc tự do, ức chế sự tăng sinh các tế bào khối u, không làm teo tế bào lành.
  • Chống viêm, giảm phù nề, sung huyết, giảm chèn ép của tuyến vào đường tiểu
  • Giảm xơ cứng mô tế bào tuyến tiền liệt và xơ cứng cổ bàng quang, cải thiện khả năng đàn hồi, co bóp của cơ vòng, cơ trơn bàng quang và niệu đạo
  • Thông tiểu, thau rửa hệ thống đường tiết niệu (bàng quang, niệu đạo), tống xuất các vôi, lắng cặn ra ngoài.
  • An toàn, lành tính, có thể sử dụng lâu dài để hỗ trợ điều trị và phòng ngừa phì đại tuyến tiền liệt.

Đề tài nghiên cứu về tác dụng rễ cây Bồ quân tại Việt Nam

Năm 2001, đề tài  “Nghiên cứu hiệu quả dịch chiết cây bồ quân với phì đại lành tính tuyến tiền liệt” đã được thực hiện và được Hội đồng Khoa học nghiệm thu với kết quả rất khả quan.

Đối tượng: 31 bệnh nhân u xơ (phì đại) tuyến tiền liệt:

+ Tuổi 60 – 74:    61% ca

+ Tuổi 55 – 59:    28% ca

+ Tuổi 75:            11% ca

Kết quả:

  • Sau 20 ngày trị liệu: uống cao lỏng cây Bồ quân với liều 0,1ml/kg/ngày, các triệu chứng rối loạn bài tiết nước tiểu trên lâm sàng giảm rõ rệt, thể tích trung bình khối u giảm 3,5 cm³.
  • Độ an toàn: độc tính thấp, có thể sử dụng lâu dài hỗ trợ điều trị và phòng ngừa phì đại tuyến tiền liệt.

Qua đó, các bác sĩ nhận định cao Bồ quân có tác dụng rất tốt trên các bệnh nhân bị phì đại tuyến tiền liệt, đồng thời thau rửa toàn bộ hệ thống bàng quang, niệu đạo, làm sạch toàn bộ hệ thống giúp trả lại phản xạ đi tiểu bình thường cho bệnh nhân.
